Hello, we are trying to fix an ASYMTEC Axiom X1010 for a customer and the connected PC has been reinstalled to Windows XP from WindowsNT, unfortunately the supplied drivers for the PMAC-PCI card show an error during installation that the .INF file is for windows 95 or later. Is there a way to get drivers for PMAC-PCI for windows XP? Thank you for any suggestions.

Hello, I recently installed Pewin32pro2 on a Windows XP computer to interface with a PMAC2A-PC/104. I acquired the software from the Delta Tau Legacy software on the Omron page, but it does not include the Site Key to my knowledge. How would I best be able to acquire a key for this software license? Thank you for your time.

Hello, I am currently using a PMAC2 PC/104, and in the documentation it says to control it with PeWIN32Pro. However, I would prefer to use a new version of the program, PeWIN32Pro 2. Is this possible? Or does this specific PMAC only work with the original PeWIN32Pro software? Thank you for your time

Delta Tau insider 1993-98, contributed some useful concepts. Still using PMACs from then, always in "Minimal-Mode". Also have a Turbo UMAC, and might consider a Power UMAC, for future. I build a few Very Simple Boards (like "Trailng-Edge"). For example: A $40 Lantronix Xport, and a $35 Rpi to run a Mill (minus the glory). Whatever it takes to keep using PMAC. Seems a simple User-Built analog-amp is Really-Needed. Control-board-only, PMAC-current-mode-only, separate power-devices (tougher & repairable). No commercial Amp-Mfr could do this, but some Humans-CAN. Thinking of the Simplest-Single-Purpose way to do it.

Goal: Change parameter settings in the ARCL command line. Problem: When I try to make any kind of parameter changes I get the same error. Below is an example of when I attempt to change the robot width. Config had at least this problem: line 11426: width not in section, client needs an upgrade. Background: I have used the "getConfigSectionList" & "getConfigSectionInfo" to identify the parameters that can be changed. So the command should work. I have also updated the mobileplanner software to allow parameter changes to be made using ARCL. Current Code: Configstart Configadd general Configadd width 400 ConfigParse

I'm using a setup with: CPU (80 Mhz) ACC 1P ACC 2P (with USB and Ethernet) I'm having problems reestablishing an ethernet connection to the PMAC. After cold starting the PMAC I can't ping it at its usual 192.6.94.5. When I connect my Win10 via USB the PMAC is identified as "Delta Tau UMAC USB 2.0 Device No EEPROM" in the Device Manager. I can use the EthUSBConfigure.exe (from PMAC Executive Pro2 Suite 4.4.0.0) to set the IP, Protocol (TCP 1025) and the "H/W Type" (PC104) with a click on "Store IP". After replugging the USB cable the Motion controller is now identified (correctly): Delta Tau PC104 USB Device. At this point I can finally use PeWin32Pro again or ev…

Does anyone have a simple way to emulate quadrature encoder output that is tied to either motor or axis position? We have an external application that needs axis position as an AquadB signal. We can't daisy chain the encoder hardware because we are suing sine encoders and ACC51 interface. I could see doing what we need with a PLC, but not sure which outputs would be best. Is there an accessory that I am not thinking of that would help in this regard? Thanks.

Hi, We are using quite some of the older and slower 60MHz PMAC-PC boards where the product processing application has some lengthy background PLC routines and continuously data-gathering upload (list gather commands) through the host interface during the production process. During its 25 seconds product processing cycle, the running motion program is using following mode about 150 times with RAPID moves in-between. Due to the background PLC processing and gather upload commands, the PMATCH commands after the following mode can take up to 25 milliseconds, and to speed-up the production process I want to use a custom and more efficient alternative to PMATCH. The …

We have customers who need retrofit of their old machines with Pmac (ISA, VME) We have several hardware solutions (BrickControler, PowerBrickControler, ...) The problem is regarding the software. They have several PLCC in memory and not the source files, only a .cfg backup. Have you information about how the PLCC are compiled ? Or about how can we decompile or understand the code included in the area "compiled PLCC's" of the .cfg file ? Best regards.

I'm on a PMAC Mini (PMAC 1). I have a worm gear coupled to a motor via a flexible shaft adapter. I run with minimal blending, (I187=1, I188=0), and reverse the motor while it is rotating at varying velocities. The backlash introduced by the shaft adapter seems to vary with velocity. Does that mean I have to set up a backlash table, as opposed to just adjusting backlash iVars?

I'm bringing up a 3-axis system using a PMAC-PC Universal Lite ISA buss, with DPR on board. Software is v2.36(1), & the PROM version is 1.16G. PEWIN works with no problems, I'm able to download plc's & they appear to be working. When I start NC-32 I get messages saying: "PMAC Memory checksum is incorrect or not initialized" & "PMAC PROM checksum is incorrect or not initialized", along with axes not home referenced, amps not enabled, amps open loop. Do I have a hardware problem, or an operator (me) problem? Cheers

I have several PMAC(1)s that I want to upgrade firmware on. The processor is a PMAC Universal CPU with OPT-16, so they have a battery. When I try to put them in bootstrap mode, installing J4 on the CPU board, nothing happens. PEWIN 32 Pro2 just starts to communicate and does not recognize the jumper is on. All the firmware upgrade documents say this is the procedure. How do I upgrade the firmware?

I'm using PMAC-NC32 v2.36(1), trying to use the 'Backup' registry button on bottom of the Motion.exe applet. It lets me enter the file name I wish to save to, acts like it completes, but it does not create the backup file - or I can't find it. How can I make that work? Or some other (simple) way to save all the Delta Tau registry settings. Cheers, Steve

I'm looking for an app note, or example of implementing open loop control of spindle for a bench-top wood router. The 4th axis is available for that use. The spindle is rated for ~20,000 RPM, but has no encoder, or tach. I believe the spindle drive gets low voltage (0-10?) for speed command from a pot on its drive cabinet. I would like to be able to issue an 'S1500' etc cmd for speed, and an M03/M04/M05 to turn it on & off. The card is PMAC Universal Lite w/DPR on board, using PMAC-NC32 v2.36(1), WinXP SP3. Cheers, Steve

I am using Delta Tau, PMAC-PCI-Lite ( 4 axis motion control card) 4-3657CF-1001-000000 with OPT-5CF( 80Mhz), OPT- 2V (DPRAM) since 2010 for our motion control application. Now I want to buy similar card as a spare for the existing one. Does Delta Tau support this card now? If yes, whether it will be a one to one replaceable ( including drivers, hardware and software)?

We are using PMAC PCI Lite (4 axes motion control card) for controlling 3 hydraulic servo valves [ out of 4 axes we are using only 3 axes, i.e axis 2,3 & 4) in position loop with encoder feedback. Encoder used is incremental encoders having A, A-, B, B- and C, C-(Marker) pulses. As we are using incremental encoder, we do a homing operation for each axis (by finding the marker pulse). System gets its actual positions after this referencing. Sometime after this referencing (don’t know the exact instant), system is moving by its own to a new position, but PMAC is not detecting this movement. [After referencing we keep all axes at zero position, from this zero positio…

SOLVED: The PMAC came to me in an assembly with power supply. The power supply had 5V & -+12, and the -+12V were wired to the POWER IN terminal block, as though the intention was to run coupled to the machines on JMACH. All of the E85...E90 jumpers were set to run de coupled (default), so the +-12V didn't need to be there. I pulled the +-12V off the PMAC block and used them to power pin 58 & 59 on JMAC. Now works as expected. I have a PMAC-MINI I'm integrating, and I'm stuck. First, the board was factory reset before I started with it. The board seems to function properly, I can talk to it over RS-232, and I connected two Pittman motor encoder…

I assumed that I could copy the .cfg file from my 4-axis pmac to my 8 axis one and my channels 1-4 would work the same. This post suggests it should: http://forums.deltatau.com/showthread.php?tid=261&pid=645#pid645 Unfortunately it doesn't. As I move the motors by hand I see a correct change in position but when using the jog ribbon I can just feel an occasional small pulse, esp when I hit the Kill All button. Programs don't run at all. What parameters do you think need changing?
