1. Hello Steve, I am traveling at the moment and will be back end of August. YES, I am FULLY aware that it would invalidate the warranty, but warranty is not applicable because it is an older board bought second hand. Please let me get back to you when I have returned home? Best regards, Otto
2. Hello, I think a question for the Omron people. Could you please give me the Partnumber of the connector which sits on Location J22? This is the connector connecting the Extended flash board to the main board. Best Regards, Otto
3. Hello, So to give an update on my problemematic EP460EX cpu... After some deep soul searching and did yhe following things: I reconnected the USB cable to have access to the "dos" part of the file system. Because I already tried and failed to delete the USRFLASH folder, which contained the garbled files, I ran a dos error checking on the disk and it found problems and corrected them. When finished I had an extra folder on the disk named FOUND.000 cantaining 467 recoverd file fragments. than I copied the contents from USRFLASH.3 to USRFLASH and powered off. I removed the USB-cable and powered on again. After confirming I could ping 192.168.0.200, I puttied in (lol) and was able to get into ppmac by GPASCII-2 it WORKED! I started PMAC IDE 4.6.0.14 and he presto=>working Power Pmac. I was able to build and download one of the examples (Program Development) I could see my 2 option boards and it kept showing the response counter. No errors during build and download. Regards, all for the comments. Much apreciated.
4. I did the following, I installed the IDE 4 on a Windows 10 laptop, did not solve the problem, no communication via the IDE. I again used Putty to get more information and I can NOT get gpascii to work (see image) What happens is that after I give the command, nothing happens, no response anymore from ppmac until I use CTRL-C to abort. What I was able to do is use the IDE4 through the USB connection to the maintenance port of the EP460C ppmac and made an backup image. This wrote an *.vhd file to my selected location. Further I got an E:-drive which was accessable on my laptop. What I did see on my laptop was when I was browsing through the folders on this drive, that I have data corruption on the usrflash folder. When I look into it, there is a lot of garbage shown with a total size of >78Gb (yes Gigabyte) I could not erase the contents of this folder because it says that it is a read-only file system. It seems that even when you do a factory reset through the folder on a SD-card, the usrflash is not restored? How can I re-initialize the flash to a default setting? I did use the PowerPmacConfigLoad with a usrflash with a project in it which I got from an un-corrupted usrflash.1 folder but this did not work. Could I have a broken flash chip maybe? I think I get now closer to the source of my problem but not yet to the solution of it. regards, Otto
5. Hello, sorry for being late, was away from home. Yes, as you can see from the included interfaces.txt I am able to ping the card and geta response. further more,I AM ableto Putty into the card and get root access there, password is the standard deltatau password. I have to say that I removed the old leaking backup cattery and replaced it with a new one after cleaning, No damage to pcb. I have included a print screen from my Putty access. I had still no access to the card using PowerPmac IDE4 so than i disabled the firewall and checked again=>not working. I am running Win 11 as can be seen in the screen dump. What I wilkl try to do is re-installing IDE 4 and see what that does. regards, Otto
6. Hello, I am in a bit of a predicament i suppose. I bought second hand this PowerPMAC cpu in the hope I could upgrade my Turbo2 Umac system with it. I tested the board and it seems to work. I used the PowerPmacIP folder "trick" to get the IP address and this was the default 192.168.0.200/255.255.255.0 I was NOT able to log in via the PowerPMAC IDE4, it gives connection failing. Now, I did read a big part of the forum entries here, but not all of them. I can see through the boot.log that the board is actually booting and seems to work. What I do think is happening is that the board is not on the default deltatau root password. now, because I cannot contact a previous owner that actually used the board, I was wondering If there is a way to restore the default root account/password. I totally do not care if I have to wipe to board and re-install the firmware. Problem is that the IDE need to connect first to do that and that I do not have a suitable image of course. I know that I could also use a USB-key to restore the firmware, but going back to the fact I do not have the firmware....... I am not an professional user of the Delta Tau universe, I build my own CNC controlled by a turbo2 Umac system with lineair Brushless axes. This works very nice. Just the fact now that I want to upgrade to PowerPMAC because I want to use Win11 is causing some problems. Are there any tips/hints/ solutions maybe? Best regards, Otto interfaces boot.log
7. Steve, Thank you very much, you are my hero. I'll know now what to put ther on that location. Regards, Otto Hering.
8. Hello Steve, On the Barcode sticker placed on the Slot connector it states: C0007EQD is this sufficient or should I take a picture? regards, Otto Heering
9. Hello, I have an ACC-5E which has a missing component on the back of the card. the missing component is U23. could someone who has the same card make a picture of the component for me or give me an exact description of the smd-code on the part? That would really help me out. Much regards, Otto Hering

ACC-5E

Hello Sina, Here are the serial numbers. ACC-5E (603447-101) S/N: C0007EQD 3U-Turbo (603766-104) S/N:C0003VNZ V1.942 5C0 (option) I tried the ACC-5E also with a different CPU but this did not change the situation. I hope this helps somewhat. Regards, Otto.

ACC-5E

Hello Sina, well I did just that and checked the value of I4902. It came back wit $0 which can not be true i guess. I put the card on the first address of the table and I got the Macro chip on it. Any suggestions now? regards, Otto.

ACC-5E

Hi there, I just got an ACC-5E and want to use it for a couple of things. Mainly for the handwheel input and for the Display output. When I put the board into my UMAC chassis and start UMAC configuration software I had expected to see an extra (unidentified maybe) I/O board or an Macro board. I made sure there where no other boards in the chassis except for the Turbo Pmac and ofcourse the PSU. Because I do not see any extra boards I think my ACC-5E is broken. Is there any way to check it further? Regards from Belgium, Otto.
13. Hello Steve, oke, the spindle setup is now working. From the software operator panel it is now possible to switch on/off the spindle and to select the direction. also from the m-codes this is now working correctly. for the hanwheel i still need to do some hardware work so this will take me a bit longer. thanks for your help, regards.
14.
This is already in the spindle PLC created by the NC-Setup program when you selected the software control panel. It should have a red 'Spindle On' button. Yes you can use this channel for your hanwheel. The HANDLE_COUNT_M variable in the HANDLE.PLC needs to point to your processed handwheel counter.
Hello Steve, thanks for your speedy reply. Hmm, I think my problem lies in the fact that I want to use ACC-11E output 1 to control my spindle on/off and I use M7024 for this. When I browsed through the Address.h file i saw that the spindle is normally controlled via M65 (open loop) and M85(closed loop). should I include the io810.h file for my definitions for the ACC-11E ? I need to do some work before the handwheel caqn be connected so I can not test this right now. When possible I will get back to the forum about this. Regards, Otto Hering.
15. Hello, I'm fairly new to Delta tau so forgive me if my questions seems stupid. I'm in the process of converting my mill from a PMAC-PC (ISA) to the UMAC based Turbo PMAC. my config in the UMAC -box is as follows: -ACC-54-USB -PMAC Turbo -ACC-24E2A four ports -ACC-11E I/O -ACC-36E analog inputs (spare for now) -ACC-E1 this all in a 16 slot enclosure. I have another ACC24E2A four-port version and an ACC24E2A two port version on spare. - WSDI BPU-S5 for X, Y and spare - WSDI BLU-S1 for Z and spare. -Bell-Everman Lowboy 1060 on the X-Axis -Bell-Everman Lowboy 760 on the Y-Axis -NEAT/Parker slide with Servo on the Z-Axis Tuning was no problem, loop is tight and stable. Limit switches are working and installed, home switches are working but have to be installed yet (soon) I/O, I am able to manually switch-on/off ports on the ACC-11E via M-codes in the terminal window of PMAC-NC. I/O, I am able to detect input signals on the ACC-11E also. I have already succesfully setup the system for use with the latest version of PMAC-NC Pro2 I am running PMAC-NC Pro2 on a computer with the software control only. I am able to run g-code progs and the machine is executing them in a correct way. Axis set-up is correct. My questions are: - How do I implement the manual control of the spindle on/off (M7024) for the software control panel? I did try to insert it into the cntlpanel.plc but that did not work. - I would like to connect an manual pulse generator (handwheel) with A and B outputs. I understand from the forum that I could use my fourth ACC-24E2A Encoder input for this. Nice! but how? I probably also need to set-up an PLC for this, again how? as you probably have guessed I'm not a professional user but I have learned by doing (and making mistakes) and have come a long way since my first start with the PMAC-PC. Converting to the UMAC system was a big thing and I'm almost there now, just these extra little things to make it perfect. any comments would be higly appreciated! Regards, Otto.
