David Jan
What is the use of slave to slave in PMAC ide? Why is the output in my slave to slave greyed out?
MoMo
Usually when there is a safety PLC in your network, the communication between the external IO and the safety PLC will use Slave To Slave

Can slave to slave be understood as cross communication between slave stations? The interaction between two slave stations does not go through the master station (PMAC), but only through the Ethercat protocol between the slave stations themselves. steve.milici
Yes that would be the intent. Slave to slave EtherCAT communication is always between two devices of the same manufacturer for a “manufacturer pre-set” purpose. This must be supported in the slave’s FW and ESI files. Currently the IDE only supports the use of this for Omron safety PLCs and Omron 1SA drives.
