Peach Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Hi, I am trying to control an integrated stepper motor from NI . I have been reading about using Arduino for the last week. However,It is my first experience with Stepper motor and Arduino and I have two points I need to be sure before I start wiring and programming. 1- Genuino Uno: Is it suitable for generating this signals? 2-Should I worry about the current used for generating the Step and Dir signals? steve.milici Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Please note that this Forum is for the following specific Omron Industrial Automation (IA) product lines: Omron Robotics Solutions Vision and Traceability Technology PMAC Technology You should seek an Arduino forum or other Arduino on-line group to obtain better answers. You are welcome though to post comments or any questions on Omron’s IA products. Having said that, the “step/dir” input on most stepper motor amplifiers are TTL level (some are even optically isolated) which should be compatible with the Arduino. Refer to your stepper motor amplifier documentation for those details. Quote
