Block Data Transfer

I need to transfer large set of data ( ~1KB ) to the PPMAC for trajectory following. In the past, using PMAC, I used ping pong buffers in DPRam. My questions are:

 

1) What are my option to transfer data to PPMAC from a host PC ?

 

2) is GPASCII the ony means to transfer this data ?

 

3) What kind of transfer rate can I expect using ASCII vs binary transfer.
