First, I want to say I am relatively new to this level of CNC programming, so please excuse my lack of knowledge if I am missing something critical here. I've always dealt with machines that are relatively plug and play. I have been tasked with loading a waterjet with a new CNC control software. I am going to use Mach3 or Mach4 from ArtSoft. I have Yaskawa SGDM Servopacks for motion, and a CLIPPER BOARD TURBO PMAC2A-ETH board. The computer used to control the system is a 32 bit windows machine (i386). The PC already communicates with the clipper board via ethernet using PeWin32Pro2. I have 2 main questions with this.
Does anyone have any resources on using PeWin32Pro2? I am not sure where to begin, and I am not 100% what this software does. As far as I can tell, it seems like middleware for configuring the servopacks and servos.
How can I integrate a CNC controller software with PeWin32Pro2? Is this relatively well documented? I am having a hard time finding any information on this.
