  1. I have a lathe project where the operator wants the zero position to be in the middle of the chuck and the home position to be at the beginning of the travel where the home switch is. I currently have it programmed to perform a home search move until it hits the home switch but then the zero is not in the center where they want it. Is there an effective way to do this without installing a switch in the middle of the travel? thank you

  2. Im wondering the best way to be able to add a tool offset on linear axis I can seem to find the correct command. For instance a tool with a .1 offset should be able to input .1 in the axis offset and the position will stop .1short.

    Thanks

  3. We were told when we ordered powerpmac that there was a lathe function in the default project. It looks from the Gcodes and NC software like it is set up for a mill.

Is there a base project with lathe functions instead of the default mill?

    Thank you

  4. Hello,

We were told when we ordered powerpmac that there was a lathe function in the default project. It looks from the Gcodes and NC software like it is set up for a mill.

Is there a base project with lathe functions instead of the default mill?

    Thank you

  5. Has anyone had this issue before? We have an hmi communicating to power pmac through a modbus tcp server. Whenever we use an input on the HMI the program buffer must get wiped or something because when cycle start is pressed the program wont run unless it is redownloaded.

And idea how to get around this?

    Thank you

  6. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue before. The x-axis in our 5 axis cnc lags behind by about a millimeter when following the TCP. The motor position shows a 1mm following error which makes me think it knows where its supposed to be but isnt keeping up for some reason.

We tried adjusting the tuning and proportional gain settings which slightly decreased the error but its still to big for the applications we need.

  7. Tuning seems fine and it has no trouble holding. I dont see any torque spikes when I jog it normally. I have noticed sometimes the softlimit bit comes on even if its not near any of the soft limits set which is interesting. I will check feedrate and look at doing an open loop test. Thank you
  8. Having an issue where I need to enable the motor twice for it to work correctly. If I send a command "#1j/" all the status indicators are green and everything seems fine but when I jog nothing moves. So have to disable and enable the motor again and it will work correctly. Any ideas what could cause this?
