windell747 Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 Hi, I just installed a new 465EX CPU in my UMAC and I'm getting a HWChangeErr & PwrOnFault at the same time. I'm attempting to upgrade from the 460EX. The IDE im using is 2.0. Per the 465EX manual, I checked that the jumpers are correct and they are what they should be. I understand what is causing the HWChangeErr, that I changed the hardware since the last save was performed, but I don't know about the PwrOnFault. When fully booted, the RDY LED on the from faceplate is illuminated. I could just so a save and reboot and see if it goes away. Has anyone experience this when doing an upgrade?
windell747 Posted October 22, 2019 Author Posted October 22, 2019 Fixed this. I did a save with no project loaded and did a processor ($$$) reset and it came up fine the next time.
Omron Forums Support Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 This is expected behavior. The CPU was just telling you it was plugged into different hardware last time it had a save done (possibly testing at the factory).
steve.milici Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Note that the "PwrOnFault" bit is also raised when any other "Global" fault occurs.
