Omron Forums Support
ID-40 External Sensor Triggering You first need to have Input Common connected to either the 24V+ pin or Ground pin on the ID-40. Once that is done the Trigger pin will need to receive the opposite signal of whatever is connected to Input Common. So if Input Common is connected to the 24V+ pin on the ID-40, the Trigger pin would need to be pulled to Ground, and vice versa. MV-40 External Sensor Triggering To trigger the MV-40, first make sure that the active vision job file loaded on the camera has the trigger set to "Sensor" so that it is actually expecting a hardware trigger signal on that trigger pin. Then when it comes to wiring, you first need to have Input Common connected to either the 24V+ pin or Ground pin on the MV-40. Once that is done the Trigger pin will need to receive the opposite signal of whatever is connected to Input Common. So if Input Common is connected to the 24V+ pin on the MV-40, the Trigger pin would need to be pulled to Ground, and vice versa.
