Copy a Cloudlink Dashboard Layout to a New MicroHAWK MV or F430-F Smart Vision Camera

Recommended Posts

Purpose:
Transfer the layout of a custom dashboard in Cloudlink from one MicroHAWK MV or F4XX-F smart
vision camera to another camera.
Explanation:
Once a user has configured Cloudlink to function exactly as they desire, they may want to replicate that
exact same Dashboard layout on multiple other cameras. This procedure provides a method to
consistently accomplish this task without having to replicate the layout from memory and risk missing a
step.
Procedure:
1. First, connect the vision camera directly to your PC.
2. Next, open an FTP client such as FileZilla (which was used for this example) and establish a
connection to the camera. In the case of FileZilla, below are the settings to use:
Host = IP address of the camera.
Username = target
Password = password
3. Once the correct connection settings are entered, click “Quickconnect”.

4. Next, navigate to /sd0:0/http_mv/user/hmi as shown in the screenshot above.
5. Next, copy layout.json to a new save location (such as your Desktop) for use later. THIS is the file
containing your desired Dashboard layout.
6. To transfer to a new camera, simply follow these instructions and copy your save layout.json file to
the same location on the new camera. Your desired Dashboard should now be present on the new
camera.
