Omron Forums Support Posted March 14, 2022 Share Posted March 14, 2022 Per the Visionscape GigE Camera Guide it states on page 2-5, “The mounting block of the Visionscape® GigE Camera is part of the heat dissipation system, and metal-to-metal contact is required for effective cooling.” The GigE camera must be mounted to a metal surface to be a heat sink to dissipate the heat generated by the camera.
