Before performing any of these procedures, establish a Telnet connection with the MicroHAWK MV camera (see Knowledge Base article 000001390 for one method).

To use the full Autofocus/Auto Calibration routine OUTSIDE OF RUNTIME:
 
1. Before performing this, you need to stop any running inspection (Auto Calibration cannot be used during runtime) using the following serial command:
          offline
           (This stops all inspections).
 
2. You can then perform the Automatic Calibration of Photometry using the following serial command:
            autocal
(Performs automatic calibration of photometry settings: Gain, Exposure, and Focus).
 
3. Then, you need to restart the inspection again using the following serial command:
online
            (This starts all inspections).

To adjust individual photometry parameters DURING RUNTIME:
If desired, you can change any parameter (Gain, Exposure, and Focus) separately, by incorporating Microscan Link:

1. First, link the parameters and close the padlocks:

2. Next, via telnet (for example) you can change any parameters on-the-fly. In this case, you don’t need to stop the inspection:
