How to change MicroHAWK MV unit name if it fails in AutoVISION

Occasional issues can arise pertaining to updating the name on MicroHAWK MV units using AutoVISION: you can perform the procedure, but the unit maintains the previous name even after rebooting.
 
For these cases, attached you will find a simple .wsf file which automates this task if Windows Telnet Client is enabled. Please ensure this Windows function is enabled prior to running the file.

Note: Remove the .txt extension and run it as .wsf.
 
When executed, it requests the MicroHAWK IP Address:


 
After entered the IP Address and clicking OK, it requests the New MicroHAWK Name:


 
After entering the new name and clicking OK, it executes the ‘BP_UpdateCameraName’ command:


 
It then displays a ‘Thank you’ message. After clicking OK, it resets the unit and closes the command prompt:
