RS-232 to USB HID Keyboard adapter

Recommended Posts

A common request is to convert RS-232 serial data to USB HID Keyboard input. The attached spec sheet is for an adapter that seems to work well as a USB Keyboard input device. The DB-9 connector will plug into any Microscan RS-232 Host cable with DB-9 termination. When using the keyboard interface, keep in mind: - All data coming from the device will be typed into any active window. this interface should not be used in automated applications. - keyboard throughput is slower than other interfaces, so it should not be used in high speed applications.
