I was wondering if the powers that be would be willing to create categories for some of the rest of Omron's line, such as AMR's, Sysmac usage for PLC's, etc. I first looked at this forum when our Omron rep was visiting and we were discussing tech support for our new AMR and associated PLC's. He mentioned that Omron had this forum, but we were both surprised when we saw the limited scope of the group. I've been getting help directly from the Omron applications engineers, but they've lost a couple of the local people and a lot of my questions are really basic PLC programming issues that are probably better answered in a forum setting (if I can't get an answer fro…

Another simple problem I believe . . . I'm turning on a motor, keeping it on for a specified time, then shutting it off. The thing is, I have to use a function block to turn on the motor (ARCL connection with mobile robot). So, I'm setting variables MotorOn to activate the timer once the initial function block is complete , and Timer_done to activate the function block to turn off the motor. This works fine, unless I try to stop the motor before the timer has expired, by turning off the Start_motor switch. In that case, Timer_done never becomes True, so the motor continues indefinitely. Seems like there should be a fairly simple way to activate th…

Hi everyone, I'm new to PLC development, specifically, this question pertains structural text program-only workflow. I’m currently trying to get together a basic workflow for creating a structural text program-only based environment in Sysmac Studio. My setup is: NX1P2-9024DT1 Sysmac Studio v1.54 Windows 11 Pro I’ve been able to create a new project -> delete the default ladder program0 -> add in a new ST program0 -> and pasted the following: IF (InputSignal = TRUE) THEN BIO_Output_Bit_00 := TRUE; // Turns on '00' output BIO_Output_Bit_09 := TRUE; // Turns on '09' output ELSE …

Reference the HawkEye 1500 Verification Manual for a list of parameters that are measured for each verification type. The verification manual is part of the manual set downloaded and installed with the ReadRunner 2.4.1 and is accessible from the Start menu. The manual is also available in the download center: http://files.microscan.com/elqNow/elqRedir.htm?ref=http://files.microscan.com/_att/68d53eb8-fac9-4061-8382-9d14ec80534c/hawkeye1500manuals.zip

Use a mirror that reflects off the first surface, not the back. This will reduce distortion of the image. use a material that will reflect as much light as possible to maximize the light signal of the symbol. Glass shoudl be defect-free to prevent distortion.

If a data string message of "scan sync not present" is output by your laser barcode scanner, this indicates a developing mirror motor hardware failure and the unit should be returned to OMRON Microscan Systems for repair.

Because WebLink for MicroHAWK ID-series barcode readers is web-based and is accessed via the reader's IP address, it only works over Ethernet connections. This may be an emulated Ethernet connection over USB (ID-20 or ID-30 with USB adapter cable) or over a native Ethernet connection (ID-40). It CANNOT be accessed over RS-232. If RS-232 communication is required for the application, configuration must be done using our ESP software. Software Version WebLink Operating System Any

Solution is to upgrade customer to 3.7.2 or later - this contains code that fixes the problem. In more detail, the problem was that the camdef file stored with the job in flash on the HE1600T camera gets corrupted or lost. When the job loads it can't find the camdef and the camera then crashes. In 3.7.2 the camdefs are all stored in the firmware and then moved into memory at boot time before the job loads. This prevents the problem from crashing the camera.

This example application will use one MS-3 to scan a carton, then teach the product code to the product scanner. If the product is incorrect, the output will fire. The Ms-Connect 210 is used as the intermediate device to control the two scanners. The carton scanner will strip off the first two and last one digits from the carton (ITF) code, and load it into the product scanner, which will then scan the UPC codes. kA23800000008E7CAI_en_US_1.zip

Summary Tests were run using an ID-20 and a Raspberry Pi3 SBC running Raspbian to determine to what extent the ID-20 is compatible with this hardware / software combination. It was found that, if the ID-20 has a static IP address, then WebLink and Telnet can both be used to talk to the reader. However, the virtual com port cannot be accessed from Linux Initial Network Configuration 1. Starting with a clean Raspbian operating system. Set up your wifi or wired network for internet access if required. 2. Go to network icon in top-right of menu bar and right-click on it. 3. You'll see two network adapters listed if you click on the interface drop-down …
