When using a USB to Ethernet adapter, there can be delays in command responses. This may result in ESP not uploading scanner settings, or partial upload of settings. The solution is to use a true Ethernet adapter.

The mfc redistributable requires a newer version of the Microsoft Installer Services. You can download it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4B6140F9-2D36-4977-8FA1-6F8A0F5DCA8F&displaylang=en Once this is installed, then ESP will install just fine on Windows 98.

In daisy chain mode, the primary will try to read a code until the read cycle ends. If at the end of the read cycle the Primary did not read all required codes, it will check it's AUX port for any information the secondary decoded. If the problem is that you get the primary and secondary data at different points in time, you can set the primary to output data at the end of the read cycle. If the problem is that the secondary data is needed as soon as possible too, you could set the primary's Aux port mode to "transparent". In this mode, the prim…

This guide will show you how to wire an RS232 HS-21 or HS-41X handheld to program a New Master symbol for use in Matchcode in a fixed mount scanner when it is wired through an MS-Connect 210. The same principles apply even without the use of the MS-210, but wiring will of course need to be adjusted since you will not have access to the easy-to-use wiring blocks on the MS-210. kA23800000008KsCAI_en_US_1.pdf
