In daisy chain mode, the primary will try to read a code until the read cycle ends. If at the end of the read cycle the Primary did not read all required codes, it will check it's AUX port for any information the secondary decoded. This is the reason why you will get the data of the primary as soon as it is available and the secondary data at read cycle end. If the problem is that you get the primary and secondary data at different points in time, you can set the primary to output data at the end of the read cycle. You will have to convert the HT of the scanner to a keyboard tab. Program the scanner postamble to HT, then do a momentary key binding on the IB-3PC of HT to tab Setup IB-3PC: Connect the IB-3PC to the keyboard port of the PC and the keyboard to the IB-3PC. - Connect the serial cable to the IB-3PC and your com port. Set the switch to 2. - Start hyperterminal and connect at 9600,E,7,1, no flow control - Send to mute the IB-3PC. - Send to verify the connection. You should recieve an answer form the com port. - Send to configure, disable muting and save. Help: Help on programming of the IB-3PC can be found from page 2-4 of the manual.

The attached document shows tables and current draws in various versions of the MicroHawk AutoID products.
