1. Create a new project of Windows Forms in VisualStudio. (It is not a must to use Windows Form, but for the sake of this example it will be easier. This example is done with VisualStudio2015.) 2. Add to the project Websocket4Net.dll as reference (download it from this link in case you don’t have it: www.websocket4net.codeplex.com). 3. In the source file Form1.cs, add the required reference: using WebSocket4Net; 4. Add the required controls to your Windows Form (buttons, textbox…). See attached project file for a complete example. The client application is listening on a single wensocket. On every trigger, the reader will send automatically a report result to the client. The report data is sent as raw XML data. We have seen this before; character substitution on Code128 symbols (a unique situation where both one or more digits get altered including the check digit and resulting in a valid output). Apparently in the MicroHAWK we have an additional setting known as Linear Security Level and it is set to ‘Aggressive’ by default. According to the Help file: Linear Security Level is intended to prevent misreads. When it is set to a higher level, it requires more scan lines to decode the same result, making it more secure. I think we can compare this to ‘decodes before output’ as we use it on the Laser Scanners. see attached screen shot Setting this to ‘Normal’ or ‘Secure…

This applies to the MS-Q, HE-40T, and HE-45T. Using the Shared Access mode in the Bluetooth section of the User's Manual will allow you to connect up to three handhelds into a single modem for real-time operation. You must use the Microscan Bluetooth modem (98-000076-xx) in order for this to work properly.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE STITCHING FEATURE The entire process of stitching a label requires the user to correctly align the images being stitched. Failure to correctly align the labels results in the barcode being graded poorly. When in doubt, perform the stitching process again. Note that the stitching feature does not work for all barcodes. 1. Activate the Stitching feature by pressing the [Ctrl + S] keyboard buttons at the same time; the screen changes as shown in the screenshot below. 2. Adjust the image so the left edge of the linear barcode is visible and leave enough space for the left quiet zone (see screenshot on next page). 3. Line up the top of the barcode to…

There are 3 different ways to get keyboard output from a barcode reader; Use a software wedge. A software wedge is a program that runs in the background on the host that converts almost any communication port data into keyboard strokes. TWedge and WinWedge are examples of 3rd party programs that convert barcode data being received via RS232 or TCP/IP into keyboard strokes.Use a hardware wedge. A hardware wedge is a cable or adapter that physically converts the RS232 or TCP/IP data into keyboard strokes. Microscan, Intelleto and MicroRidge are manufacturers of hardware wedges. Please remember if using an RS232 converter to match the baud rate of the wedge with the host po…

Attached is a white paper describing how to configure any combination of QX device to do the “Cross Match” application. In this type of application One scanner will Teach the other what to look for. Then the second scanner will either Match or Mismatch to that code. Note* The “Teach” scanner could also be an Ethernet version as you only need Port A on the scanner. kA2380000000870CAA_en_US_1.pdf

The following configuration will allow two separate labels to be compared to each other. Between the two scanners, three outputs can be taken to define the results of the complete cycle: Noread, Match and Mismatch. If desired, you can also collect RS-232 information in the case of a match or a mismatch. kA23800000008AFCAY_en_US_1.pdf

If the hole pattern of 98-000016-01 does not fit the screw pattern of QX Hawk and the holes are round, it is an old revision. New parts of 98-000016-01 have slotted holes that will fit all QX products, including the QX Hawk. See attached image for reference.

The OMRON V410-H is capable of limited OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functionality. The reader can read 6 to 60 point OCR typeface and supports font types OCR-A, OCR-B, MICR-E13B, and US Currency Serial Number. As part of their widespread Microsoft Office suite, there are two built-in “OCR” fonts: “OCR-A Extended“ and “OCR-B-Seagull” Customers utilizing Word or other Microsoft products to create documents intended to utilize this V410-H functionality should be aware that these fonts are NOT supported by the V410-H OCR function. Despite the similar names, these Microsoft fonts are not actual analogues of true OCR-A or OCR-B and will not be detected by the scann…
