chrisvk
I have a lathe project where the operator wants the zero position to be in the middle of the chuck and the home position to be at the beginning of the travel where the home switch is. I currently have it programmed to perform a home search move until it hits the home switch but then the zero is not in the center where they want it. Is there an effective way to do this without installing a switch in the middle of the travel? thank you
Sanjay_RSS
You could use the home-offset parameter to change the "zero" as compared to the home-position. Lookup Motor[x].HomeOffset in the SRM for the details.
Curt Wilson
There are several ways of doing this. I think the easiest for you is to use the PSET (buffered program) command after homing. That is, complete the homing search move, then give a command like: PSET X-250 This will change the value of the associated Motor[x].HomeOffset parameter, as Sanjay suggested.
