dgore Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 The text of the manual is confusing in terms of limit specifications: "The 4.7K resistor packs used will allow 12-24V flag inputs. If 0-5V flags are used, then a 1KΩ resistor pack (RP) can be placed in either RP45 or RP46 ..... If these resistor packs are not added, all flags (±Limits, Home, User, and amplifier fault) will be referenced from 0-5V." So do I use a 1K resistor pack or no resistor pack for 0/+5V limits?
dgore Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Answered my own question (partially) by experiment: Without the resistor packs, 5V does not seem to be sensed, but 24V is. Not sure how low I can go. Sounds like another experiment.
steve.milici Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 The confusing wording will be changed on the next update. The last sentence should read: "If these resistor packs are not added, all flags (Limits, Home, User, and amplifier fault) will be referenced from 12-24V."
