CREAD with Kinematics

I am using kinematics to effect a tool length compensation where the tool is mounted on a rotary axis at dome distance from the center of rotation. Kinematic works correctly, but my position reporting plc is showing odd values. When doing a rotation only move where the kinematics will supplement the linear axes the CREAD(X,Y,Z) shows them as having a commanded value other than what was in the motion program. Why does CREAD report values other than what the motion program previously commanded?
