smlearner
Hi all I want to know if turbo UMAC has the ability to execute G-code programs or it require any other software like PMAC-NC Pro2 Runtime, PMAC-NC Pro2 Designer, PMAC Executive Pro2 Suite etc. Thanks in advance for any thoughtful comment. Mr P Mac
Hi smlearner, What product have you got? It should be in the SRM manual for your model product... I don't think you *need* the Excecutive Pro Suite (You could use a terminal program) but the Executive Suite can really aid fault finding. http://www.deltatau.com/Common/technotes/G-Code%20Processing%20Example.pdf Cheers
curtwilson
Turbo PMAC controllers can run G-code programs even in standalone applications, with no host computer attached at all. The key codes - G, M, T, and D - in your part programs are treated as subroutine calls, allowing you to customize their behavior. You must write these subroutines and store them in the Turbo PMAC. It will be easiest to develop your application with the Executive Suite, but it is not intended for the operator interface in the actual application. What you use for the operator interface depends very much on what you are trying to do. Our PMAC-NC software is suitable for many applications, but many people write their own HMI software.
