On rare occasions, the error below may appear when using an LVS-95XX-series barcode verifier:

“Warning: A camera contains a non-numeric serial number and cannot be accessed”.

A similar and related error message may appear which includes the phrase “DEADBEEF”.

Unlike other potential error messages that may make mention of the verifier’s serial number, both of these error messages indicate an unrecoverable camera hardware failure. If you encounter either of these errors, please contact OMRON Technical Support through a channel below to explore possible factory repair options or to be put in touch with a sales representative for a quote to purchase a replacement verifier.
