Perhaps this is not an issue in the latest version of NC, but I just wrote a User G-Code (G61.1) running in an NC 2.36 environment. The G-Code executes just fine. It is essentially a one-line canned cycle. The problem is getting the UI to properly display line execution in AUTO mode. I have a program that runs many lines, each line is the custom G-code and the parameters that get passed. The UI doesn't step through line by line in the display (i.e. doesn't highlight completed lines and current line properly). Sometimes it stalls and randomly jumps forward. The program itself executes just fine, it is simply a UI problem. I recall having to do something with M1…

I'm attempting to run a parametric program used on an older A600 system. The program executes to a certain block and then just stops. The number of lines versus lines in the program starts to increase rapidly and the program window shows no text with just a yellow bar. I've stripped out the parts that the program should run based on what the parameters are and when I just run that part in a seperate program it runs fine. Any ideas?

My active M-code window does not update when an M7 or M8 is issued. M09 stays in place despite M7-8 being commanded. I did not change the lathe.m file to operate my outputs I made an accessory PLC instead. Any ideas?

I'm having troulbe sorting out why my program position and DTG windows are not showing the right number of decimal places. I've set them for 3.6 in inch, 3.5 in mm. They only show 4 decimal places. When I call up the "all" position window they show 6 in inch, sometimes. It seems to change if you try a reboot. Also my Program position window is not titled Program position buy absolute? Stranger yet is the fact that it was all working right. I had an incorrect value for maximum feedrate so I reran auto pilot making the change I needed. Since doing that it has not worked right. Any ideas?

According to the manual certain G-codes are supposed to be default startup. I'm finding that is not the case for instance I need to command G63 Radius mode as it defaults to diameter. I'd also like to set G01 as the default rather then G00. What is the recommended method of setting default G-codes and what could be the reason mine is not going to what the manual states. Any ideas?

I use DPlots ActiveX to display tool 2D-trajectories (in the XY plane) in the NC PRO2 project. 1. Changing the properties ScaleMaxX and ScaleMaxY in the runtime is very convenient way to zoom in/out plot area to get small trajectory parts readable for operator. The problem is that ScaleMaxY property does work as described above, but ScaleMaxX does not. Moreover changing ScaleMaxX in the design time doesn't change X scale of DPlots (both on click on Apply button, and pressing the Properties Frame in VBA). X scale updated to the new ScaleMaxX value only upon restart of NC PRO2 Runtime, but this of course is not the way out... Why does property ScaleMaxX not wor…

Is it possible to modify the functionality of the SetX and SetZ button page in the Lathe code? The UI in the Lathe has an input cell for the diameter of the tool set location (analogous to the block height for the mill code) from which the tool offset is calculated. Is it possible to add a cell for the Z height of the tool set location as well? Rarely do necessarily want the tool set station location to be Z0. This would be equivalent to having both Diameter and Block Height as input variables on the UI. The most generalized solution of course would be to allow the operator to enter the set station offset in each coordinate that is active (five offsets for a five axi…

I'm having some issues with the PMAC-NC Runtime running on Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit. 1) When first running it gives errors: "The System cannot find the path specified path - please check file Access Permissions C:\Program Files\Delta Tau...\Mill\Mill1.NC" and then the same message for file "...\Mill\MDI.NC" I have UAC disabled, tried running in Administrative mode, checked file permissions and set them to full access. I also get the same message when running from the Designer Suite. 2) After Loading I'm missing UI text from various UI elements, including the MainMenu buttons, StatusPane, and labels in the GMPosDisp forms. The same thing happens when r…

We are using the PHMI with the Pcommserver.exe system and have noticed that if/when the Pcommserver crashes or is manually killed from the task manager, the PHMI memory useage runs away up to around 2GB. PEWin32pro does not exhibit this behavior. What is going on under the hood when the handle to pcommserver dies that causes PHMI to ramp up the memory like that? Is there no mechanism that causes PHMI to restart pcommserver or to halt when it loses connection? Thanks

Hello, I'm fairly new to Delta tau so forgive me if my questions seems stupid. I'm in the process of converting my mill from a PMAC-PC (ISA) to the UMAC based Turbo PMAC. my config in the UMAC -box is as follows: -ACC-54-USB -PMAC Turbo -ACC-24E2A four ports -ACC-11E I/O -ACC-36E analog inputs (spare for now) -ACC-E1 this all in a 16 slot enclosure. I have another ACC24E2A four-port version and an ACC24E2A two port version on spare. - WSDI BPU-S5 for X, Y and spare - WSDI BLU-S1 for Z and spare. -Bell-Everman Lowboy 1060 on the X-Axis -Bell-Everman Lowboy 760 on the Y-Axis -NEAT/Parker slide with Servo on the Z-Axis Tuning was no …

Hi, I'm setting up my first Turbo Pmac2 pci system (which is also my first system period) with a Pmac-nc Pro 2 software HMI. I used the NC autopilot to configure the system. I'm able to manually control the system but cannot get the MDI or Auto to function. In the Operation Mode Context Display the ROT Buf is always closed, the manual says it should always be open. From the NC Autopilot I allocated the default of 4000 for my buffer. In Pewin32-Pro the memory screen says I have allocated 4000 but I 0 available. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Tyler

Hi, I am new to Delta Tau and the Pmac system. Our machine is a laser cutting machine. The bed is driven by a Geo Brick and Pmac nc software. I need to open and close a laser shutter. A relay has been wired into pin 12 of the geo brick J7 plug. By addressing the pin I can open the shutter by supplying 24v with the command m33 value 1 using Pwin32 config software. How do I transfer this to cnc code in the PHMI front end. I need to assign an m code somehow but am a bit lost at the moment.

We are trying to incorporate a kinematic for a tool mounted on top of a rotary axis. We load a tool length and angular offset into the tool table to be used by the kinematic. The problem is that tool length in the tool table is also being included in the Z Geo Tool offset as well. How do I disable this. This offsetting is not being done in our .T or .G files, so I have been trying to find it in the C code, but I cannot see where this is occurring in either PmacNCParse.cpp or PmacNCPParse.cpp. Any pointers? TIA.

Has anyone used the M code aliasing feature? The manual says to edit the alias.ini file. This file doesn't exist. Even if I create it the aliasing doesn't work. The registry says the aliasing file name is NcMcodeAlias.dat. This file name doesn't work either. Any suggestions?
